Yvie Raij is a nomad. She has lived and traveled in far too many states (and a country or two) to mention. She earned her BFA in Interdisciplinary Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA in Media Arts Production from the City College of New York. At present, she works as a cinematographer, editor, and producer on a variety of independent narratives, documentaries, animation, music videos, and art experimentals. Often, she shoots on location in places regional, national, & international (it seems to suit her itinerant tendencies).

When she has the opportunity, Raij teaches as a visiting artist and youth mentor at universities and youth organizations; organizing and facilitating various curriculums and activities. She also organizes events, art exhibitions, installation projects, performances, and other arty sorts of things.

Though still very much connected and deeply loyal to her New York network, Yvie Raij is currently meddling about the Bay Area making new filmmaker friends and creating new initiatives.
